DroneBase Pilot App - Accessing The Flight Screen
To a fly mission in the DroneBase Pilot App, click the Start Mission button at the bottom of the mission details page.
When that button is clicked the flight screen will open.
General Overview of the Flight Screen
Back to Mission Details: Takes you back to the mission details page so that you can check the shot instructions and any other instructions for the mission
GPS Signal: Shows the strength of your GPS signal
Battery: Shows the drone's battery level
Shot Selector: Allows you to select a shot from the shot list for the mission
Thumbnail Preview: Preview of the most recent shot. The thumbnail will take a bit longer to process for a video clip.
Photo/Video Toggle: Toggle between shooting a photo or a video
Gimbal Slider: Indicates the current pitch of the gimbal
Shoot/Record: Take an image or start recording a video
Camera Settings: Access the camera settings menu
Advanced Settings: Access the advanced settings menu
Altitude: Altitude above ground level
Distance From Home: Distance from the home point
Compass: Lets you know where the drone is
There is no take-off button. You can turn on the props by pushing both sticks inward as stated by the DJI manual.
“A Combination Stick Command (CSC) is used to start the motors. Push both sticks to the bottom inner or outer corners to start the motors. Once the motors have started spinning, release both sticks simultaneously.”
Once the motors are active, you can use your throttle stick to ascend. Please keep in mind that your throttle stick may vary depending on which stick mode you are using.
